Help! - Food, Flowers - Ocala

Hey Ladies!! :)

I'm having my ceremony in Ocala, Fl at Shalom Park (ourdoors) on April 16, 2011, mid-afternoon (2pm). We are on a REALLY tight budget (think basically $0 - $1500). My dress is Ivory, my BM's are wearing chocolate dresses with champagne sashes. Other accent colors are sky blue and sunflower yellow. I'm a relaxed, sunshiny, smiley kind of person; but I'm not very savvy with planning food or flowers.

The problems I'm having are this:

What kind of food should I serve at the reception? I was thinking that hors d'oeurves would be best, since a full-blown meal would be more expensive. But what should I serve? Remeber: cheap is better!

And...

I still haven't found a florist, but I also don't know what flowers I want. My favorite flowers are daisies, wildflowers, and roses. I love the idea of a hand-tied, homemade bouquet, but I'm getting resistance from my mom on that... Are there any flower-savvy people out there that can help me? Remember: cheap is better!

I really, really, really appreciate any help that you can give me! If you have pictures, that would be even better! I feel like I have scoured the internet and still not learned a thing.

How many people are you planning for? Are you just planning on setting a few finger foods out in a buffet type style? Are you planning to have any liquor? Doing a cake? In your situation, I think Sam's might be your best friend. They do bulk flowers and you can get food as well as liquor (I think the Ocala one has a liquor store) there. I've heard their cake is good too. I'm from Inverness, so I know what that area is like. If you post a little more info, I might be able to help more.

Hey there! Here are the vendors I'm using; hopefully they can help you out!

Food - Brick City Catering (located on 40 near Staples). Ask for Al, the owner. They are good friends with my family and do amazing work. You can also go to their resturant for lunch/dinner.

Flowers - I was recommended this florist by a coworker, and feel so blessed as we are getting an amazing deal! The place is Blossoms flower shop on 441 south in Belleview (just over the bridge going to the Villages). Greg is the owner and will work with you on everything. Since they are still under a year old, they are doing everything at cost until I believe June 2011. He does fantastic work too :)
