outdoor ceremony/reception in NJ

edited November 2013 in New Jersey
Hello,

Just got engaged last month and planning and smallish wedding for next year. Not having much fun or luck looking at venues so I was hoping for some help please. Cry

Here's what I'm looking at:

1. outdoor ceremony and venue (garden type with gazebo preferably)
2. accommodate approx. 100 guests
3. budget around $100 pp (could be a lil more if necessary)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance! :)

  • This is the only place that I could think of besides a State Park.  I don't know much about it, like whether or not you can have your reception there or if they cater, but below is the link.

  • Maybe Lake Valhalla Club?  Not sure what their minimum is.
  • Definitely check out the Woodcliff Manor in Woodcliff Lake. It was one of my top choices (ultimately I chose Seasons in Washington Township) but the grounds outside were so beautiful and the gazebo was perfect.

It's more than 1 hour from central Jersey but Perona Farms has everything you are looking for.

The Elks' Lodge in Bridgewater off Route 28 doesn't have a gazebo but it's very pretty.

The Madison Hotel in convent station is gorgeous but your event may be too small for them.

The Palace in Somerset has some smaller rooms but it's very expensive.

The Pantagias on Route 22 in Scotch Plains used to have some outside space.

"What about Woodcliff Manor, Indian River Trail Club, or Flander's Valley.

You'll probably have good luck finding the sort of outdoor area you want at country clubs also."
I was actually just at a wedding at Flander's Valley, and I have to say it was quite nice! The bride was one of my very good friends and they were very accomidating to her (she was on a tight budget), and it turned out to be really nice. Try there!!

  • Oh, I would love to have an outdoor wedding, but I'd get too anxious about the weather. I'm a nervous wreck. :(
  • @pfeiff you can't advertise here...
