A work WTD?

Ok. My AP is moving to high school and asked if I want to go with him. That's what people do with people they like in education. Anyway, I have never really wanted to go to HS. More work, more days, lots more stress.

Yes, I do need a change, but I was thinking of moving to another middle school. I told him I would let him know tomorrow. I like my school, but I've been here 10 years and it is time for something new.

I just have no desire to get only 4 weeks in the summer instead of 8 and more money isn't worth it for me to leave work at 6:30 and have credit evaluations to do at home.

Decisions...decisions....

considering you haven't said one thing in favor, it sounds like you want to switch middle schools.

It sounds like it's an honor to be asked but if it's not really what you want, thank him and put in your request to switch middle schools.

I went through this over and over with my mom. They kept asking her to be the principal. She was all "you don't just turn down offers to be principal!" But I was all "Hello? You don't WANT to be the principal!"

She never was the principal, and it really was the smartest move.

Life's way too short for more work and more responsibility that you don't want.
