Red Rock Casino

Wondered if anyone have any reviews of this place? Thinking of staying here a couple of nights after the wedding for our "mini moon". I'm nervous about being too far away from the strip though...

Re: Red Rock Casino

  • I haven't stayed but the reviews on Google+ and Trip Advisor look pretty good with a few horribles mixed in, but all hotels in Vegas have those so I'm not sure if I'd let that ruin it.  Definitely don't underestimate the amount of time it will take to get to the strip from there though if you plan to go a few times.

  • I've never stayed there, but my FI's parents have and they love it.  I believe there is a shuttle to the strip for guests, but it does take some time.  I've always had great luck gambling there!
We had our dream wedding at Mirage on May 3, 2014!

  • Thanks guys! I'll have to throw in your lucky gambling streak ktbabe530 so FI can say ok lol
  • I met a couple who live near there and they highly recommended it. Apparently the slots are looser, drinks arrive quicker, and generally nicer and cheaper all around! We didn't stay as we were already booked in somewhere else when we heard about it. Sounds good though!

  • I've not stayed myself but my aunt, uncle and their daughters did last summer. They really liked it, they were on the strip for about 4 days then had 2/3 days at red rock (used a groupon). I'm sure my uncle mentioned a free bus service to the strip but he did have to get taxis a few times as it stopped running around 11. I'm sure he underestimated just how far it was from the strip though, don't know how with google maps etc! but he did have a slight moan about having to pay for expensive taxis. He said the service and food was great.
  • It's a really nice resort. Very modern design and beautiful pool. There are also really good cover bands that play there. It is quite a distance from the strip so cabs can be expensive.

The food court is decent with a Fatburger and Pinks HotDogs as well as Capriottis. Buffet is one of the better ones off-strip. We didn't care forTerraRosa but the other restaurants are good.  Not too far from it but within driving distance is Bacchi Burger. You can also drive up to Red Rock Canyon much easier from there; Wet and Wild is pretty close too via 215 beltway which is right there.

There's also a shopping center across from it with Costco, TJMaxx, a few others. It's on a main road but in a pretty residential neighborhood.
