  Prices will vary by season and location. We used hydrangeas and they were awesome.  Our florist was very inexpensive compared to most of the others I found, and they charged about $4.00 per stem. 

  We used green and a wine color button mums.  This is one of our centerpieces.

  I was quoted $12/stem, but you can order them bulk (Costco, Sam's) for much cheaper (~$3/stem). I like roses with hydrangeas, particularly the Juliet Garden Roses which have a similar look to peonies.

  I plan to use 1-3 stems per centerpiece so have been calling around as well. FiftyFlowers, PremiumBlooms.com and similar sites average $99-$200 for 10-20 stems. One of our local grocery stores gets bunches (3 stems each) for $8.99 each. Still have to call my florist and see what she charges.

  After 6 years and 2 boys, finally tying the knot on October 27th, 2013!

  costco and sams club both have them for $95-100 for 30 stems.

  Thank you all so much for your input! I do love peonies as well- have heard if it's a really hot/humid day they start wilting pretty quickly , but they are so pretty.  I'm sure my mind will change a few times in the next few months. Thanks again for the feedback.
