Season's Brides!

Hello ladies! I've recently booked my September 2014 wedding at Seasons in Washington Township. We have about 130 people so we'll be in the upstairs room. Did anyone have their wedding upstairs and have any pictures to share? Or, opinions about whether or not the space was too cramped? I've heard the cocktail room gets really tight and I'm kind of worried about that. Any help/advice/pictures is very much appreciated!

Congrats on booking your wedding! I am getting married there in the downstairs room this September!  I was going to have my wedding in the upstairs room - after going there for an event and loved it.  They ended up offering us the downstairs room on a Sunday, so we went with that. When I was there, the cocktail room did not seem overly cramped at all.  I don't know how many people were there, but I assume it was around 120 or so. I haven't heard anyone say that the cocktail hour room felt cramped to be honest.  I wouldn't worry too much about that.

<div>Ahhhh congrats and thank you! I'm working with Carl and he's been awesome so far. We're doing a Saturday night and the minimum for downstairs was 225 (I think) and I don't even know another 100 people so I said oh what the heck, we'll do upstairs lol keep me posted on how everything goes, it's good hearing opinions from other brides! xo</div>

Yeah, Carl is great.  Originally our plan was to have 125-135 people upstairs on a Saturday.  I wanted to get married outside though and the only way to do that was to book the downstairs room.  He ended up offering us a deal on the downstairs room for Sunday, because I couldn't afford, and like you, nor do I know 225 people, to book the downstairs for Saturday.  (I was so against having it on a Sunday until I saw the downstairs room lol).  I am sure you will be very happy though! Are you getting married at Seasons also or just doing your reception there?

Where does the wedding ceremony take place outdoors? And would you know if there are still plans to add a balcony to the upstairs room? Thanks!

The outside ceremony takes place by the flowers and waterfall - outside of the ballroom downstairs.  Which is why they only allow the downstairs parties get married outside.

I haven't heard anything regarding the balcony upstairs.

Congrats!  I recently got married at Seasons and you made a FABULOUS choice.  I got married downstairs and had worries about it being way too big!  My advice to you is DO NOT STRESS.  They know what they are doing.  They wouldn't book you in a room that would allow people to have an uncomfortable experience.

You are in GREAT hands and you will have the most amazing day of your life.  Be prepared to be treated like absolute royalty!

<div>When we went for a tour/booked our wedding, there was no mention of adding a balcony. I'm not sure where it would be added, but I wouldn't mind it haha!</div><div>

</div><div>Ahhh thank you! I've heard nothing but good things! The only negative experience I've had so far is that each time I've been there to meet with Carl, there have been other parties going on. I felt so out of place walking around there in my jeans while everyone else was dressed up! Fingers crossed that there are no tours/meetings booked during my wedding lol</div>

<div>We're doing our ceremony there as well, which takes place in the reception room. Then, they close it off during cocktail hour to set up for the reception. I know you're getting married downstairs, but Carl sent me pictures of how they do the ceremony upstairs and I can show you if you'd like! </div><div>
</div><div>I live down the shore and my fiance is from Bergen County, so if you have any advice on vendors in the area, please share because I know NOTHING up there! :)</div>

SMClark23 - I promise you that you will never notice anyone besides your guests at the wedding.  I honestly can not even tell you if there was another event going on at the same time as mine.  I get what you're saying about the jeans thing because I felt the same way, but you will be too busy having fun to care!

For vendors we used Jeanine La Macchia (hair), Cristinia Pignataro (makeup), McKay Imaging (photo, out of Red Bank), Hilton Woodcliff Lake (hotel), Crumbs Cupcakes (favors).  All were fantastic!

We're actually planning to have our baby's christening in the upstairs room at Season's.  They do a great job there - you have nothing to be worried about!
