was your wedding at the lyceum? it just looked like it in the picture with all the candles, i would love to see pics if you have some? We are having our reception there next April 28th.

I love your picutures!

The wedding was gorgeous! We are having our ceremony at the old town hall too! I love what you did for the decorations there, I love the tall vases with the branches and flowers they look perfect with the old wooden chairs, which are half the reason i fell in love with that place, I want to copy what you did. Did you buy them or have them done by a florist? Your bouqet also, It's beautiful. I have about a hundred other questions too. Did you get the cake and cupcakes somewhere else or from them? And if from them was the cake good? How many people did you have and did you think the room for dancing felt large enough? Were you happy that you chose the lyceum? I would really appreciate a florist suggestion or even if you did DIY where you got the supplies and if you stayed at a hotel which one did you go with? What did you do for guest parking, just let them use the pay lot or did you shuttle them from the hotel. Did you have a JP that you would recommend also? Sorry I'm asking so many questions. I am very impressed with your pictures!

We got the cake and cupcakes from Icing on the Cake in Newton and they were amazing! Definitely recommend them

I was very happy with the Lyceum. It had the exact feel I was looking for and we got so many compliments on the food. Total guest count that was at the wedding was approx 95 people. I thought the space for dancing was definitely big enough and with the cocktail tables set up along the side it allowed the people that didn't want to dance to still be a part of everything.

We stayed at the Salem Waterfront and had a shuttle to take guests to the ceremony site and then we walked back from there. Otherwise they parked in the lot near the Lyceum. As for the hotel I had a bad experience with them. They had the room blocks set up all over the hotel and I didn't realize this until the day before the wedding so my only request was please no guests near our suite so we could have some privacy on our wedding night. The next day as I was ready to go to the ceremony I realized that my future sister in law her husband and their 2 young children were in the room directly across the hall. We gathered in my sister's room to hang out after the wedding, not a rowdy bunch, and the manager threatened to call the police because the woman in the room next door felt "threatened." When I called to complain they handled it very poorly and basically told me he didn't care. So as nice as the hotel is I wouldn't recommend it. I would look into the Hawthorne Hotel which is even closer to the Lyceum!
