It's a good habit to have. My wife has heard the stone getting loose in her e-ring twice now before it was visibly loose. She is always messing with her ring and has heard it make a clicking noise if she shook her hand so we have been able to get it tightened before any bad things happened.

I LOVE my ring and it is so shiny and just gorgeous. My co-workers nicknamed me 'The Rock' and tell me it's a safety hazard cuz it's blinding them LOL I too am always checking it making sure all the diamonds are all still there! A good habit I got into as soon as we got engaged and still do now is as soon as I get home, my rings come off and I put them on my ring holder and I put them back on in the morning for work or on the weekends when we are going somewhere. I never wear them around the house cleaning, cooking or anything like that.

Yeah I do this as well

I can't wear it at work because I work in engineering so it would get messed up but as soon as I get in my car to go home if I've not put it back on I feel naked. I gaze at it all the time, and sometimes even relive the proposal in my head and it was in January! We got engaged in New York as well and there has been more than once I've been caught going through all the photos from our trip and grinning to myself.
There's a picture we took of the two of us just before my gf asked me and we look so happy, then for the next 10-20 pictures (we were in Central Park) I have the biggest smile I have ever seen and in every shot I'm holding my hand up to show off the ring, even though on most of them I have gloves on
