unique seating ideas...

We're having a small wedding (25-30 people) and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about a unique reception seating arrangement.  If we split into the traditional round tables I'm afraid it will really separate people, but I don't want people to get lost in one large table.  Any unique seating ideas?  Our venue has plenty of space to work with so I'm looking for creative options.  Any suggestions?

    I would love to do a seating arrangement like the one you describe (we're having a small wedding), but how do I make sure that my guests will be able to find their seats without the usual table number designation?

    Use placecards to assign the seats.

    I had this type of seating at my shower and it was perfect!  IMO, much better setup than a few smaller tables when you're having a smaller guest list.
