Sandals Resorts

Has anyone been to Sandals resorts?  If so, which did you go to and was it worth the money?

Re: Sandals Resorts

  • We've been to three(Grande in St. Lucia twice, Grande in Antigua and Negril in Jamaica) and are going to Whitehouse (Jamaica) next year.

I have reviews and pics in the link above my siggy pic if you would like to check it out.
  • Thank you!  That was actually very very helpful and informative.
  • I tend to be a negative nelly when it comes to Sandals. I think you can get better deals on better resorts if you try others. Is there a reason you want to go to a Sandals resort?

  • Well my future sister in law told my fiancee it was amazing, they went from their honeymoon.  I know some of them have everything all inclusive kind of like a cruise ship.  I have looked at their website and it's going to be about 4500 for us to stay for 7 days, not including airfare and getting to the state to where we will be flying from.  Just seems like a lot but I want it to be nice.  We love to play at casinos.  We live in Cherokee but I can not play at that Harrah's because I work there.  So it's either Sandals or hitting a casino for a week.
  • Sandals is either really loved by people or people think it's way too expensive for what you get, as there are other AI resorts that offer a similar experience, but for less. Examples: Secrets Resorts or Couples Resorts. However, Sandals is located in a few destinations that the others aren't, so if you really want to go to  specific island, then Sandals may be you're only option. I personally think that Sandals has a great marketing budget and no matter what, will always be a good fit for a certain type of person. I'd continue to look into it, but definitely check out other options. Work with a travel agent as well. You may be able to get ore for your money somewhere else, or you may find that you're willing to pay a little more because the Sandals experience fits you perfectly.

  • Thanks @dazy. However, I just realized I committed my biggest pet peeve. I meant "your" rather than "you're" LOL

  • I'd recommend Couples Resorts over Sandals any day. Instead of spending all their money on marketing, they spend it on great food, staff, and renovations :) Just my two cents!
  • I have friends that been there and loved it!!
