Dear Prudence, an advice column written by Emily Yoffe for Slate, did a podcast taking wedding related questions. Her advice is pretty much spot on! She even got one question about someone offering to host a shower and the bride saying she wanted a cash shower. Prudence told the lady that the bride is definitely in the wrong and that type of shower is not ok. She also got a question about a MIL wearing a lace cream dress and a question about a second "wedding".
The question about the MIL in the white dress is at the very beginning. The question about the cash shower starts at about 23 minutes in and the second "wedding" question starts at about 27:30.
