HR monitor

I'm considering getting a heart rate monitor to wear while working out, just to find out how hard a workout my heart is actually getting.  I don't fully trust what the cardio machines at the gym say.  Does anyone have a good recommendation for one?  I'd like to not spend a ton of money, and if I could put save or download the data to my computer, that would be great.

Check out ebay and amazon. You can find some great deal.  I'm a big fan of the polar products.  I have a polar F7 and love it! The most accurate ones work with a chest strap.

I blogged about it here last year: http://kickmeiamfat.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

There is a post with all the stats and then two posts showing what kind of data I get off of it post workout.

Agreed with PP...I have the same monitor and love it! & your right not to trust the machine's at the gym, mine are often WAY off
