  I'm having the same thoughts!
  I think I'm going to use paper gift bags as they will fold flat in my suitcase and take up less room and put everything into the bags when I get to the hotel. I've seen some pretty bags on Pinterest, plain paper gift bags decorated to match wedding invitations or with matching wedding colours.
  I'm hoping to buy water and snacks when we get there as we're coming from the UK and don't want to use too much luggage space!

  Hope you are having fun with the wedding planning!  It may be early, but it's good to be organized too!  You should check with your venue location to see if they will allow you to ship some of those items in advance so they are waiting for you when you arrive.  It may be a little bit more expensive, but it would allow you to not have to worry about packing everything in your luggage.  If you are open to car rental, I am sure stopping at a Wal-Mart would allow you to pick up most everything in one trip.  It would just require more last minute work!

  My welcome bags have a TON of stuff. We got margarita mix with custom labels that have out names and wedding date, we have the tourism stuff that has maps,guides, pens, mint, chapstick, etc etc.

  I alsowanna do bottled water and maybe the shooter style liquors and some pain killers. Good ideas!

  Im doing something similar to @louisew17. We are taking the bags, tags and labels with us but shipping a lot of the contents to our wedding coordinator. It shouldn't take us long to assemble them when we get to lv. We are getting the tourism stuff, welcome letter, pre wedding events information, hangover kit (although some guests dont drink so we will make theirs emergency kits) and American snacks.

  Agreed with the shipping things in advance & getting things in Vegas. Definitely worth it for peace of mind/not having to pay baggage overage fees!

  
  

  And remember that most people won't remember the bag anyway, they'll be so excited about the goodies inside!

  I'm thinking we'll do something similar to @LouiseW and missmo. I'd like to get stuff and ship it down in advance but coming from Canada it would be too costly and I could run into problems with customs and whatnot.

  So funny. I've been trying to figure this out too. I have gable boxes that will hold our hangover kits and then all the other stuff like mentioned that will be in the tote bags. I was going to ship to his mom who lives in AZ and will be driving but I keep getting worried that she might forget a box or something. Lol. Wow! I'm becoming a control freak. Oh goodness.

  I'm with missax, I am shipping a box with most of my wedding stuff to someone who is driving there.(hopefully they don't forget the box!) That way I don't have to worry about packing things last minute and taking up suitcase room. Once we get to Vegas we will get the water and little things that we can get there.
