Has anyone tried Ring Wrappers?

http://www.ringwrapper.com/

I think they look pretty cool but I haven't been able to find many reviews online. Has anyone tried these? Did you like it?
I feel like I'm always bumping my ring on things and I hate having to take it off all the time to cook and bake or anything.
What do you ladies think?
:)

  • I feel like putting this on over it would be more trouble than just slipping your ring of and putting it back on. lol

  • Seriously? This looks so gimmicky and like as-sold-on-tv. Buy a ring dish and put it there when you're not wearing it.
  • Just take the damn ring off. You get used to it.

  • In addition to looking ridiculous, I think that would chafe or something equally uncomfortable. It's way easier to just take your ring off when you're baking or whatever, and just put it back on when your hands are "safe" again.

And I say this as somebody that hates being without a ring so much, that I actually have a cheap ring that I bought specifically so I would still be able to wear a ring when my real rings are out getting repaired or re-rhodiumed or something.

I'm cringing at the picture in the pool from that website. I'm sure that thing's not watertight and you should never, ever take your ring in the pool. Chlorine weakens gold.

  • Just taking your ring off is an option. I couldn't imagine using something like this when such a simple solution already exists.
  • I'm sorry, but that looks awful. I have 3 places I keep my ring in case I take it off. I will only take off my ring and put it in those places, so I don't lose it when I take it off. Seconded about the chlorine and gold - I can't imagine that thing is waterproof, so it wouldn't even really do anything. I get the bumping worrying, but unless your ring has a very soft stone in it, you really don't need to worry.
  • I actually hardly take off my ring ever. I sleep in it, shower etc. The only time I do is if I'm kneeding dough or making meatloaf or something messy.

  • I had to look at the pool picture after it made artbyallie cringe... All I noticed is the drawing below the text that looks an awful lot like the uterus diagrams.

I used to work at a pool and I can't tell you how many times I've had people come up to me to tell me that they lost their expensive rings in the pool. Not only is the chlorine not good for the ring, you can easily lose the diamonds/sapphires/etc too.

The cringing is more for the fact that, like @Persnicketese pointed out, you could lose the ring, and even if you don't, the chlorine can and will damage the gold and potentially make it crack, snap off prongs, etc.

  • Yeah, that just seems ridiculous to me.

Why would I ever want to put that silly thing over my beautiful rings? And their website makes it sound like you should be wearing it all the time. Yeah right! That's why I have insurance!
