Asking for Guests Wedding Photos?

We are thinking about doing a table with some old wedding pictures (parents and grandparents). I have some other family members that I think would like to be included, and I was thinking that maybe I could put a note in the invitations about it to anyone that is married, so that we could display them all on the guest book table. I know I would be interested to see them, but is this a weird/rude request to ask of our guests? Should we just stick to parents and grandparents (those pictures I could probably all get from our parents)?

  •                   I'd feel weird asking-lots of people don't have many pictures. Maybe ask some of your local guests if they'd like to participate, or maybe mention it on your website, but don'tput it on the invitation.

The website is a good idea, thanks! Most of the people that I was thinking would like this are people that are pretty internet savvy, so I was thinking that they could just scan and email them if possible, that way there's no worries about them having to make a copy, or getting the original back. The ones that would have trouble with that are really only the closer ones that I won't have a problem getting myself (grandparents).
