  Just give them a color and length and let them choose the style of dress that best flatters each of them individually. I personally don't think the fabric of the bridesmaids' dresses needs to "go" with the fabric of the bride's dress.

  Some dresses are pretty universally flattering. I think square necklines with a thick strap look pretty good on most people, as well as a circle skirt bottom. Boatnecks and scoop necks tend to look good on most people too. Or, like PPs said, give them a color and a length and let them find a dress themselves.

  I hav ethe same issue with my bridesmaids so I chose a designer, fabric, length, and color and told them that they can pick any style dress they like. The designer I picked will also add thicker straps to any dress for $20 so some of my larger chested bridesmaids have another option if they don't feel comfortable with strapless.  I also asked all of my bridesmaids their budget before picking a designer so that I would be sure that the dresses would work.
