Looking for the Best B&B to stay at in Mystic, CT in October...suggestions?

My fiance and I are honeymooning in New England and are looking to stay in Mystic, CT Monday-Friday in mid-late October. Would prefer to stay in a local B&B as opposed to a chain hotel, preferably on the cheaper side (i.e. less than $125 per night) close to downtown Mystic. Any suggestions are much appreciated. TIA!

I found all the hotels & restaurants for our California roadtrip honeymoon on tripadvisor.com. They also do reviews of B&B's. These are reviews by real guests who have stayed there. Just go to the website and enter Mystic, CT (or a nearby town) and look for B&B's.

    Good luck.

Any particular reason why you would stay in Mystic for a week? I'm from RI and I don't know if you'll be able to do B&B in October. The Hilton or Hyatt in Mystic would be closer to $125 and would put you closer to downtown. If you can put more towards lodging I'd suggest Steamboat Inn or the Mermaid B&B.

Also, Salem needs to be on your NE trip. October is the perfect time!

imo-a week in mystic is far too long. there's not that much there.

A week at Mystic, but with travel to the Casinos and other attractions nearby, isn't bad at all. Especially if you spend half the time in your room....

Anyway, I haven't stayed at any of the B&Bs in Mystic, but it's a lovely place! Be sure to visit my friend Juno (seen below) at the Aquarium.

I second the tripadvisor suggestion - I use them to plan all of my trips (hotels, restaurants, attractions, etc) and they've never steered me wrong :)

It's definitely not a B&B, but just for FYI FI & I stayed at the Hilton and it was beautiful and brand new and you can see Foxwoods from the parking lot.

I have nothing to offer regarding lodging.. The downtown inns are going to run you more than $125. (Steamboat Inn is beautiful, directly on the river and smack in the middle of downtown but it is expensive)

When you come, do make sure you visit Daniel Packer Inne, which is not an inn but a fantastic restaurant and pub.
