There's a documentary on right now on PBS (the American channel but I'm watching from the UK) about Las Vegas's history. Currently they're talking about the use of the desert for atomic weapons testing and how the Vegas residents embraced this as a tourist attraction. It's so weird seeing casinos and hotels that I've only heard of because of this forum, like The Golden Nugget and Flamingos, filmed in the 50's and offering atomic bomb cocktails :D

Anyone got any other good things to watch with Vegas in it? I've never been so even the promise of it appearing briefly in a film would probably be enough to make me watch it right now :D obviously I've seen Oceans Eleven and The Hangover, what else is there that showcases the city?

    Swingers is a great film! Good call KikiMira! When my best friend got married in Vegad two years ago lines from that film were quoted a lot. Baby you are so money!

    We had a bit of a Vegas-movie-marathon back in January when we first started planning our wedding, we watched 21, Oceans 11 and Oceans 13, Casino, Hangover, Very Bad Things, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and What happens in Vegas

    We also have the Elvis film 'Viva Las Vegas' to watch on VHS where Elvis gets married in the chapel we're getting married in :) we just need to go to bed early one night to watch it as my VHS player is in the bedroom!

    Brilliant, I'm going to need to copy you Jiimanie and have a Vegas movie marathon :)  I totally forgot What Happens in Vegas even existed!  I'm sure I've seen Swingers as well but I'll need to rewatch them with my fresh Vegas obsessed outlook :)
