Purchased a discontinued dress in smaller size...what to do??

Hello Ladies,

Woohoo..I found the perfect sample dress but of course the designer recently discontinued it as of 4/4/13. The sample dress I purchased was a great price but is not refundable. It is also a size or two smaller than I need because I feared not fiding it else where.

The seamstress assured me after opening the seam and measuring how much extra fabric I would need to make it fit, that there is enough fabric if she lets the seam out some.

Once I got home, I was able to find the dress online and it looks like they have my actual size, and it's still reasonable priced. However, the websites are somewhat random (e.g. not the most well known) which makes me a little nervous.

I am trying to decide if I should buy the dress online in the correct size now while I can still find it, and sell the original smaller one.

Help ladies...I need your advice!

Yeah, I agree with Liatris. There is also a very good chance the sites you're looking at might be knock-offs. Post links here and people can help you determine legitimacy.

those are all ligit websites if you go to morliee.com click on beware of conterfits it has a listing of all websites that are fake and china operated

Weddingshoppeinc is fine, I got my bridesmaids dresses there. But if the seamstress thinks she can take care of it, I would try that first. Hope it works out for you!!!
