Messed up the invites

I just realized I made a big mistake on my invites - I didn't include any hotel info! What do I do?

Re: Messed up the invites

  • Have inserts printed with the hotel information to include in the invitations.

Normally, that's how you'd communicate that kind of information anyway.  The actual invitation would only be to either the wedding or the reception, with inserts for everything else.  You can also put it on a wedding website if you have one.

I didn't put hotel info on my invitations. Did you block rooms somewhere? You shouldn't put that info ON invitations anyway. Or are you saying you mailed them with no insert with info?
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Hmm, I more frequently find hotel info on the wedding website, so I think you're ok as long as the web address is on one of your inserts. If you've ordered the invites but haven't sent them, you could have simple, business-card style inserts made up.

If you end up using the website to disseminate this information, I might give a call to any OOT friends or family who don't use the Internet as a courtesy.
  • Hotel inserts that don't even match are fine. Just make up a pretty insert and add

  • I agree with PPs. You're fine. Just have a small insert printed; that's usually how hotel info is communicated anyway.
  • We did not block rooms at hotels. We just included on cardstock a list of hotels that we recommended. I also had a lot of people email or call asking about hotels. If you did not block any rooms, I don't think it would be a problem to not include hotel information.
