Invite question

Hey y'all,

I am inviting a co-worker (fellow teacher) she is married, but I have never met her husband. Common sense would tell me to invite her with her husband, but at the same time I feel weird since I don't him. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Re: Invite question

  • Invite her husband. Invite everyone with their SOs regardless if you know them.
  • That's what I thought, but just checking. Thank you!
  • Yup. Every guest should be invited with their SO, because even if you don't know them, your guest sure does and will be very appreciative to have their most important person with them.
And on the plus side, if you don't know them, you'll get to meet them, and I can't think of a more wonderful time to meet someone besides when you're at your happiest. :)
  • Invite him. They are a social unit.
  • There were several spouses I had never met at our wedding. I don't understand why this is ever a question. Why would you not invite someone's spouse just b/c you'd never met them?

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

Yeah, I don't get the no invite for people we don't know either. I haven't met some of FI's aunts - does that mean we shouldn't invite them?

  • Thanks everyone for your input. I just wanted to make sure I did the right thing.
