Wedding Venue in South Florida

Hello ladies,

I am in desperate need of assistance. I have been looking for a wedding venue and cannot seem to find my ideal location. I'm looking for something in South Florida, ranging from Miami to Palm Beach Gardens, even the first few islands within the keys.

I am having a victorian themed wedding or simply an elegant white wedding , my ideal venue is Flagler Museum in West Palm beach however it's a bit pricey! I am looking for an "open feel" venue (outdoors is too hot) - perferably near the ocean. I would like to go out after reception and send out floating lanterns.

I would like large windows, tall ceiling, and either neutral or white colors (even something rustic like the flagler museum).

Other venues I simply love but that are pricey or missing that extra factor are: Bath Club, Bank of America Sky lobby/terrace ( black marble wall indoors does not go with my colors), The Breakers, Mar A Lago, and The Hilton Singer Island (they have an oceanfront pavilion that is weather protected).

I would consider a green house as well. PLEASE HELP!

Or the Old Spanish Monastery, the Coco-Plum, or the Douglas Entrance.
  • I can think of two in the West Palm Beach area:

    1. The Harriet Himmel Theatre:
Upsides:  Historical, lots of wood and windows
Downsides: it's about 15 minutes west of the intracoastal, so not directly on the water.

Alternately, the West Palm Beach Lake Pavilion is almost directly on the waterfront in downtown West Palm.
Upsides: Near the water, full panoramic windows make it feel very open.  The waterfront and Flagler Ave. area can lend to great photo ops.
Downsides: It's very new and modern in feel.

  •  Spanish River Library is the library I was thinking of.

  • my venue, the westin colonnade, is very beautiful, has 70+ ft ceilings and it's colors are white and neutral colors. it's rotunda feels very open and the venue is totally indoors. the flagler museum was my pricey dream venue too! the colonnade is an amazing substitute!
