Bridal Shower Invite

Just got an invite to a bridal shower, and I have never met the bride.  She is marrying DH SB who have no contact with us in over 3 years. WWYD?

    Decline. Don't send a gift unless you really feel like it. Showers should be for the near & dear, not every female guest.

    Just decline. I know what you feel at this moment, though. Year before last I got invited to the shower of the FI of my ex-boss's son, and I've never met my ex-boss's son, let alone his FI. I was like, whaaaaa??? I don't know what the thought process is sometimes. But definitely just decline, unless you want to go out of curiosity.

    Thank you ladies.  I called the hostess and declined.

    I never understand with some showers they invite all the female guests, which I see as a gift grab.  When I gave the list for my shower, I only gave the names of those who I am close with.
