Picking out my dress was my favorite and food tasting. Putting together the invites has been way to time consuming. Honestly Im a terrible bride...I don't like all these planning details and I just want it to be here!

Budgeting everything was probably my overall least favorite. I would just like August to be here already.

Hmmm...favorite was booking the big vendors early on. That part was a breeze! My least favorite is these last minute details. I'm so stumped on our spotlight songs and the band wants to know yesterday.

picking the venue and dress was definitely my favorite...invitations were my least favorite. i love how they came out but it was SUCH a lengthy process to get to the final stages.

Ok, now I don't feel so bad about how annoyed I've been with some elements of wedding planning, i.e. invitations, little details, the planning is not my forte and at this point I just want it to get here!

I did love the cake testing best and deciding on renting a trolley for transportation...hoping my day won't disappoint. And hoping for an abundance is RSVPs.

Finding the dress, cake tasting, food tasting, engagement photo shoot, finding the shoes, picking the venue. That was all very fun! The not so fun is money, guest list and planning all the little details. Like my guest book, card box, ceremony songs...and most of all worrying that the bridemaids and groomsmen won't have all the things they need in time!

My favorite part of the planning has been picking out my dress, obviously and picking out our music

My least favorite has to be gathering up the groomsmen to get their butts in to get measured for their tuxes! Guys can be such procrastinators! We have about 4 guys in the wedding party left to get measured and they have 5 days to get it done! Ugh!

I guess I'm the only one who really enjoyed sitting and doing the invites. Not figuring out WHO to invite, but addressing and stuffing? I had fun. I got a bottle of wine, I put on music, and I chatted with my mom while I addressed. I did it all in one night. Of course, I'm the weirdo who loves wrapping presents, too ...

My least favorite has been, and is, finding cake toppers. I can't find ANYTHING I like that isn't ridiculously expensive. I know I'm too picky, but the only one I've seen that I really liked was $120 ... and ships from Japan. Bleh. What are you ladies doing for cake toppers?

finding a cake topper was tough for us too as we're an interracial couple and wanted the cake topper to represent us. There are so many adorable ones on etsy but they are super expensive so we ended up ordering ours from a site I can't quite remember right now but it was about $50 for an interchangeable bride and groom. While I must admit we both aren't overly excited about how they look physically but they aren't the main focus of our cake so we are just going with the flow.

I went with a "rustic" cake topper from etsy. It's birds, and was only $16! If I hadn't found it we probably wouldn't have had one at all. I've seen some lovely cakes with just cascading flowers. There's also the initial option.

I'm not a hugr fan of toppers with people, and I skeeve real flowers on cakes.

Originally, I wanted to take my mom's cake toppers (which are cute little figurines that are sort of similar to Precious Moments, but less googly-eyed), but FI really thinks they're creepy (since his mom collects Precious Moments and he was afraid of them as a kid).

First, I thought about superhero toppers (since FI is named Steve Rogers, and I'm literally marrying a superhero!), but finding the lead figurines and making a base is pricier than I'd like if I can afford it (50ish for a Captain America figurine, plus one for me).

Then I thought honeybees (since he calls me honeybee) but I can't find anything that isn't the Japanese one.

I really dislike the monogram/initial look. I want a pair of something, I just can't find anything I like. I'm really frustrated.
