Branford House Layout

Hi - question for any Branford House brides who have had their weddings already or anyone who has been to a wedding there.  I am planning on having guests in the main room and the room closest to the office and then the DJ in the room on the other side.  I'm worried that guests seated in the side room won't want to walk to the other side to dance.  Has anyone had this happen?  Did your guests in that side room still walk through the main room and into the DJ room to dance or did they seem bored and stayed on that other side room away from the DJ?  Hope to hear back from someone on this!  Thanks!

    Great question....Our wedding is at Branford House next may - probably about 100 people.  We also would like to do seated dinner in the large, main center room, with coffee and desert station in the room closest to the office, and then dancing would be in the other side room (which would also be for cocktails before dinner, as part of inside/outside cocktails, weather permitting!)

    Our concern is, can we fit enough people AND a live band in that side room for the dancing?  Will it be too loud in that side room with a live band?

    @TMezzio this user hasn't been active in years.

    Can you call up the venue and ask for a copy of the floorplan with dimensions? Ask your band what they recommend. They also should be able to balance themselves well.

    As someone who used to play in a lot of weddings, we got pretty good at knowing our potential acoustics. Your band should too.
