I am a DIY bride!!  Im trying to find a template to make my own I Spy cards for my reception.  I have tried a few times to make my own using word and it just is NOT working for me! Does anyone have any they would be willing to share?? PLEASE HELP!

I just googled and found out this is a game.  I'd skip it.  Just provide good food, drinks and music and adults will be able to keep themselves entertained.

To add, wikipedia says of this game, "I Spy is often played with young children as a means to avert boredom in long car journeys".  Needless to say, I think this would be more fitting at a child's birthday party, not at a grown adult's wedding.
  • I'd actually like the idea if you have some kids at your wedding that need to be entertained. I wouldn't be sure whether I would provide cameras for it or just assume they use their parent's cameras or a phone.

If adults participate in this you might get a few very nice shots, but honestly, I would rather spend time mingling.

  • Adults do not need children's games to play at wedding receptions. I urge you to rethink this.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I don't get it - do you just place a card on the table?

If it's something voluntary that you just place on the table, I'd leave it alone and not do it. People don't really play those games anyway, they want to drink, eat, dance, and talk at weddings. I don't mean to be a downer, but just don't want you to spend time and money on things people might not use.

And don't do the disposable cameras. It's not worth it. I've been in two weddings that have tried this, and they ended up with virtually no pictures (people use their phones) as well as some pictures of ummm...interesting things.

  • Every time a knottie tells you to save time and money by not doing something, breath a sigh of relief and move on.

  • Eh, I'd save the time, money and energy. Very few people will actually play. Why don't you use the money you'll save and order some extra hors d'œuvre? Or maybe some after-dinner mints?

The midnight snacks at weddings are THE BEST.

Hell yeah they are. Are you serving some?
  • I'm currently haggling with our caterer, but I hope so! She's about $1000 over my budget right now. Grr.

FI wants Gus' Pretzels and Ted Drewes haha.

I love this idea! Martha Stewart has a free printable (link), but I don't think you can customize it.

Ted Drewes!!! Ahhh I would die of happiness!

We're bringing several bags of Billy Goat chips up to serve as the late night snack, as well as milk and cookies. Had to incorporate some STL in!

I'm trying to make it work.

Yummy! I would so go to town on those! Milk and cookies is awesome too. We went to a wedding that had milk for the kids and White Russians for the adults. Yum.
