My fiancee and I are getting ready to print our invites, is it traditional for the bride's name to go first? We are simply saying:
Groom-First/Last name &
Bride - First/Last name
Invite you to share in the joy of our marriage,
Date
Time
Place
Is this okay? Or should I put mine first? I have a much larger family than he does if that makes any difference.
Re: Who's name first?
Thanks ladies!
Bride First Middle Last
and
Groom First Middle Last
invite you to share in the joy of their marriage
Saturday, the twenty-ninth of June
two thousand thirteen
at six o’clock in the evening
XYZ Country Club
ABC Street
So for the insert regarding the reception, is it ok to word it like this?:
To share in our happiness, please join us for dinner and
dancing following the ceremony: Location, etc...
Omit the bolded and just use the wording that follows it.
