Can I have some powerful knottie vibes plz?

My back is still hurting and it is making me frustrated and nervous. My PT says that I keep rotating my sacrum (TWSS). It is really painful on the right side near my bummm. I haven't been able to get back into exercising and it is more than annoying. I don't know why it isn't getting better. Can I have some vibes? I could use 'em.  I'm in a funk about it.

Thanks. Laughing

Vibes for your back, M!  I hope that PT can figure out a way to stop you from rotating sacrum (whatever that is...going off to google it out of curiosity!) I hope you can get out of your funk soon!

EDIT: Just googled that, and ouch, sounds like a painful spot to have that happen.

Lots of health vibes, M!  I hope it gets better soon!

Are you still doing yoga?  Does that help at all?
  • edited December 2011
It is definitely painful. Feels like there is a bruise. Grr.

I thought that I was healed, too, but her adjustments aren't 'taking'. And I can't do yoga because I'm in pain. :(  Although, I'm going to do it tonight anyway even though it hurts. May as well try. I just feel like having a heating pad spoon me on the couch all night.

    Thanks for the vibes!

    Lots of vibes!!!

Molly I hate to say it, but you sound like my DH.  His final diagnosis was a herniated disc and it's a 6-8 week recovery.  The pain is centralized in his bum (which is good).  When it spreads down the leg, that's bad.  Besides your PT not being able to give you adjustments that "take" have you seen anyone else about the pain itself?  Can you talk to a PT manager about changing your therapy to something that won't hurt?

How did he get the herniated disc diagnosis, Colleen?

He ended up getting the diagnosis after an MRI ordered by a neurologist.  He was initially (erroneously) diagnosed with siatica and after suffering in pain (with pain meds) he scheduled in with a neurologist.  The doc truly believes he can heal without surgery and he is making a ton of progress, but it's painful for him and it's going to take a lot of time. (6-8 weeks or more.)

I had an MRI already but that was about 2 months ago. This pain is different. FML.  Blargh.  And so on.

Ew--different pain is no good.  I was hoping for your sake it was just the same thing that sent you in for the MRI in the first place.

Can you get an appointment with the doc that sent you to the MRI for the other problem?  Maybe it's related (I hope it's not new as a result of fixing the first problem!)

I will have to talk to my doc, but I'm doctored out. I was just there because my friggin' hands have been falling asleep. They told me to go to Occ Therapy for carpal tunnel as it is real bad now. Said that it isn't related to my back.

The first MRI found some small things called syrinxes in my spine, but said they weren't causing pain.

I want a do over with this bod.

Blargh indeed! Sending you some much needed vibes! Pains in the bum are no fun. Due to my hip issue I have a lot of pain in the bum. I'm sorry to hear that the PT isn't doing it's magical work and making you feel any relief. Here's hoping they fix you up soon!

Major major vibes!  Both for your hands and huge ones for your back.  I can't even imagine what that must be like.  Back problems seem like the are always the hardest to get rid of... I pray that your goes away soon!

Oh, Molly that sucks big time.  good luck with getting this sorted out.  It's so frustrating and I'm sure after dealing with your foot and das boot, the last thing you want to deal with are back and hand problems.  good luck!
