Invitation Inserts

Hi everyone, I've done some lurking (and found some good info) on invitation inserts with reception information. However I couldn't find a thread that gave me ideas on what other people have done.

So... how did everyone go about with their inserts? Print them from home on nice paper?

Thanks in advance! :)

I ordered all of mine on Vistaprint (invitations, reception cards, RSVP cards, hotel info cards, and envelopes for the invitations and RSVP cards...)  Printing is a pain, in my opinion...and VP is fairly inexpensive with coupons/Groupons.
  • I designed mine in Adobe Illustrator and will have them printed through Cards & Pockets. It came out to $1.55 for an invitation, 2 inserts, and outer and rsvp envelopes. VP is great too; I ordered my STDs through them with a Groupon.

  • I'd rather spend the money at a vendor to print my invites than risk my printer being on the fritz. ;)

We used Magnet Street for our STDs and will be using Paper Style for our invites because they are the only company out there who have the design on I want.
  • We used Wedding Paper Divas for our invitations and inserts.  Many online invitation companies have package deals or discounts on inserts with the purchase of invitations.

I designed my own invites in Microsoft word and printed them through staples. Just over $1 for each invite (Invitation, reception card & response card)

ETA:  Printed on pearlescent card stock

  • We used Magnet Street for the STD's and Wedding Paper Divas for our invites, I was just hoping to find a cheaper alternative for the inserts.

I appreciate everyone's ideas and opinions! Thanks! :)
  • Staples has pearlescent card stock??
