Two save the date questions

Fourth Anniversary 100 Comments 25 Love Its Name Dropper
I am prepping to send my STDs at the end of the month and have to questions:

1. Our formal invites will be hand-addressed per protocol, but is it ok to use labels to address STDs? They are very nice, custom designed postcards. I have mediocre handwriting but have a friend who has offered to address them if I should chose to do so. Which would you prefer?

2. Is it necessary to put "and guest" where necessary on STDs (it will be on the invites) or is the name of the person with whom you are most familiar enough?

Thanks knotties!

Re: Two save the date questions

  • I find labels better than having a friend address the STDs for you - I'm not keen on pawning off work on friends (even if they offer). And I never throw away mail without giving it all a good look first. Plus, the majority of junk mail I receive has the address printed right on - I'm talking about those pesky credit card offers. I get, like, three a day. So I think the labels are just fine and are becoming less problematic.

As for names, address it to people and not anonymous guests. Unless you are giving a single guest a plus one, but even then, I'd recommend waiting until the invites go out to tack on a plus one on the envelope.
