The friend who was lying about being married and was setting up to have all the wedding festivities, well I did talk to her and explained it the best way you guys advised me to. It turned out bad because she explained on why thinks her decision is right and I'm just "hating" because I'm not having two weddings. So I left it at that,I know our friendship is down the drain. So here is where it got messy: she and her husband announced that they had been married for over a year now and are planning wedding for October to family and friends in thisgroup on Facebook. After a while there comments rolled in asking to see the ring and when did the engagement happen. Then her cousin goes off and tells people to READ they were already married. Her parents get on and said everything you guys said but in a disappointing and harsh way. Nobody thinks she is in the right and I guess they felt scammed.

  • Wow.... I don't mean this to sound spiteful, but I guess they got what was coming to them.  I mean, if you're going to lie to people about being married, at least get better at hiding it, you know?  Apparently they thought everyone would be happy that their "wedding" is just a sham and that they already secretly got married.  Ugh.

    Sorry about your friendship :(

  • monkey I'm okay I didn't want to lie to her parents or anyone. What she was doing isn't worth it to hurt parents or loveones.
