posting photos in a post?

I'm guessing the problem might be that I'm on a Mac, but I cannot seem to post pictures in a post that are on my computer.  when I click on the tree icon it asks for  URL, there is no where to upload photos from my computer.  Does anyone know how to make this work, or am I better off posting from a PC?

    Click "attach a file" underneath the post box. It will let you upload from your computer. Click "insert" and then also "delete" so it won't be both embedded and attached.
    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    To use the tree icon you need to upload your photos to a third party site like photobucket first, then paste the direct link into the pop up box asking for the url.
