Bridesmaids and Groomsmen Attired

We are thinking of a deep purple for our girls and a gray suit for the men.  I would love to wear a red shoe (my ruby red slipper as we are doing an old hollywood/movie "theme" to our wedding.

I'm still not sure whether I like the idea of tying in red/garnet to the girls outfits, other than in the flowers.  Could the red/garnet be used as the color of the groomsmen's ties or perhaps just my fiances?

    Just let the girls wear shoes they already own.  My color is dark purple as well and I told the girls they could wear whatever they want but I wanted all the same color so either all black or all silver... They chose all silver, shoes they already had on hand.  Just use red in your shoes and in the flowers.

    You can do what you are looking to accomplish with bouts and bouquets.  No need to make anyone spend any extra when the flowers will bring in the color you are wanting to tie them all together with.

    Am I missing something, I don't see anything about her wanting the girls in red shoes?

    We considered a similar color scheme, we were just going to bring the red in with the flowers. Something like this picture but with a darker purple.

    I've seen that bouquet and I love it! And you are right Amalama, the red shoes are for ME in my wedding dress, they have NOTHING to do with my bridesmaid.  I was wondering if having girls in purple and guys in red would possibly be an option....but yes I'm with you that I like the idea of tying in the red with the bouquet...THANKS

    Agree with bouquets for girls. For men can you incorporate red into their boutineer? The tie works too but it would be cute to have some in their flowers too and it would add some pop of color to the gray suits!
