4th of July in Vegas!

We are heading to Vegas Wednesday after work and I can't wait!  3 nights at Planet Hollywood and one night in a Tower suite at the Mirage!  And we are doing our cake tasting!  

We go about 5 or 6 times a year and I get so giddy every time!  

Happy 4th of July everyone!!!
We had our dream wedding at Mirage on May 3, 2014!

    Oooh awesome, I'm so jealous!

    We're having our post-reception party in a Mirage Tower suite, have you stayed in one before? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the room when you get back :)

    We haven't, I got a free night in one playing MyVegas so we are going to check it out to see if it's worth the extra $$ for our wedding weekend.  I'll be sure to take some pics!

    Great stuff, thanks! If you could find out whether the dining table is moveable that would be great (am assuming it isn't screwed down!). Also we were wondering whether there's much scope for hanging decorations (balloons/bunting) in the room - it looks like all the lights are spotlights so no light fixtures we could tie them to, if you happen to spot anywhere this would work I'd love to know!

    I will look.  Let me know if there is anything else about the Mirage you want info on.  

    I did ask my wedding planner there about a meet and greet in the room and it sounds like everyone needs key car access, so I'll have to see how that works.  She also said a tower suite could fit 20 comfortably.

    That's good to know about the key card access although we will all be arriving at the same time for our in-suite party so hopefully that won't be a problem. We'll have around 20 (maybe 25) at our wedding so we thought we'd fit alright in the tower suite - we booked a 2 bedroom to have a bit of extra space just in case (and so that FI can get ready in a separate room on the day of!)

    At the Mirage!  They are doing everything, only extra we had to book was the DJ.

    We are in AZ, so I'm used to the heat at least!

    We are already thinking of going back in August, we really want to see the new MJ show, but all the good seats were already sold out for this weekend when we looked a few weeks ago.

    Jiimanie - the Tower Suite was amazing!!!  I never want to stay anywhere else now.  The bed is so comfy, we did not want to leave - haha!  

    The table does move and the glass top comes off, it's really heavy though.  I didn't see too many places to hang decorations.  The key card access would be an issue if you have people coming in at a different time then you.  There are 4 elevators for the suite floors and you have to scan the key card to even push the button to your level.  

    They also have an extra mini-fridge next to the mini bar one, not a ton of room, but enough for some beer or wine.  

    I'll post some pictures tonight.

    I'm so glad you liked it, and that the bed was comfy (most important thing!!). Do you think it will be big enough for 20 or so people? Thankfully we will all be arriving from the reception to the suite at the same time on our wedding night so access shouldn't be a problem - do you need the key card to get the elevator down from the suite too?

    Not sure what I'm going to do about decorations then, I really wanted to create a string of balloons to go across the room and have a 'just married' banner .....

    It will hold 20, it was huge - the bathroom area is like the size of a regular hotel room.  There were 2 bar stools, 4 seats at the table, couch could fit 5 or 6, there is a desk chair and a love seat you could bring out from the bedroom and a stool at the vanity area.

    For the decorations you could probably use some tape or even those wall hook things that don't take paint off.  Or even use safety pins to pin them to the curtains?  

    No key card is needed to get down.
