I just got done reading all of your comments in RDR's thread. So sweet! You ladies make me feel like a million bucks!

I have to say, I think Chad and I had the best possible wedding day we could have ever hoped for! Although there were a couple hiccups:
1. Driving down to our location (about 6 hrs. from where we live) there was a huge forest fire. The police shut town the pass through the mountains right when we got there, so we had to re-route which added about 2 extra hours to our drive. Luckily all of our family and friends had made it through before it was closed though!
2. We found out Thursday night that our minister had a different forest fire only 2 miles from his ranch and was under mandatory evacuation. He wouldn't be able to make it over to perform our ceremony. This was especially hard for Chad since he is a close family friend and had also married his brother last year. Thank goodness we were able to find a local methodist minister who was available to perform our ceremony the next day. We met with him Friday morning and he was so wonderful. He did an amazing job and we were so lucky to find him!
3. I had ordered a bunch of baby's breath from Costco to be delivered to our venue and it never arrived. When I called, it turned out it had been delivered to a wrong address. As fate had it, my flowers had been delivered right down the street to another bride who had ordered the same thing. Can you believe it? By the time we'd figured this all out and called the family, they had already used all the flowers in their arrangements. Costco was amazing - they refunded all of our money. My mom, MOH and I went to the local groceries and found some beautiful greenery and flowers for the aisle, bouts/corsages and the maid's bouquets. (My bouquet was done by the caterer) The flowers cost A LOT less than the original plan and I think they ended up even more beautiful!
4. On the drive home Sunday, my car broke down. Luckily we were close enough to home that AAA was able to tow it to my dealership for free, but we didn't get home until well after midnight.
BUT - I was able to remain stress-free through it all and everything went perfectly the day of! We had so much fun, the food was amazing and we celebrated through the night with all of our closest friends and family. It was an amazing experience. I balled like a baby down the aisle. Chad got choked up saying his vows. My grandpa stole the dance with my brother - so I actually was able to dance with BOTH of them! Our MOH and Best Man gave amazingly touching speeches. Chad and I are MARRIED!
I also have honeymoon pics...but since those are still at home, i'll do another post tomorrow.
