Totally dropped the ball here and just now am doing this (married Friday). My photographer is wanting the information and I feel a bit pressured to design this around her versus what would make me and my family and guests happy? Is that weird? I nixed her 1.5 hours of photos after the ceremony and am instead trying to work in some time during the reception to do some bride and groom photos. The problem is, I can't fit those in any early than 9:30 because I don't want guests, especially older ones, waiting around on us to do all of the "events."

Does this timeline look okay? I literally googled and wrote it in about 10 minutes.

@drg424, You have to think about what's more important to you. Remember that your photographer knows better than you how things have worked in the past. But I agree, your wedding is quite late, and older guests WILL leave early and will probably be disappointed if they miss something special. I chose to have an afternoon ceremony so my reception wouldn't end late almost specifically for this reason. My grandmother is in bed by 7 pm every night, 8 if she's feelin' crazy! In my case, she anonymously paid for my entire reception, so I definitely wanted to accommodate her, and I wanted to make a special mention to show my appreciation.

Anyway, I always get off topic. Do what you want! Ask your older guests how they feel and talk to your photographer about possibly speeding things up. Good luck!
