RSVP Card Numbering

I am putting the finishing touches on our invites this week.  The last thing I need to do is number the RSVP cards. I'm wondering where all of you ladies put your number.  I don't want it to be intrusive and obvious but every place I think I want to put it just doesn't seem correct.  I can't put it on the back of the RSVP card because it is blue and unless I'm going to use a sharpie it won't be seen.  Thanks Ladies!!!

Re: RSVP Card Numbering

  • RSVP card number? Never heard of it - please let me know what it is!
  • I put mine inside the return envelope, just in the upper corner where the flap folds down - that way it's out of sight.
  • Adding no-name RSVP cards to the list of nightmare-inducing wedding-related details to the list. Sheesh.
  • I didn't do a number on our cards - I'm really trusting adults to write their names on the line where is has the word "name."

  • I did it on the back, bottom right corner, in black pen.

Uh oh, we wrote in the names on the RSVP cards ourselves....were we not supposed to do that? OOPS!

We tried to make it as easy as possible. Just write your number in and put it back in the mail!
  • I used invisible ink and wrote numbers in the back right corner. We thought we may have been overly cautious, but have already started to received blank RSVP cards. As adult as we would hope people are, sometimes people are in a rush and forget. The first one we got back blank turned out to be a bridesmaid! Totally worth the extra 10 minutes it took us
  • We put the number toward the bottom of the RSVP with an invisible ink pen. We put it on the white part of the RSVP (the part with no ink) because the invisible pen did not dry well on the ink. You can not see it so I could have put it anywhere on the white really.

  • I also used invisible ink and wrote the number on the back of the RSVP card.  Our cards are postcards so I didn't want to write it in ink anywhere where it can be seen since there will be no envelope for them.

  • I put it on the back lower corner and assigned numbers on my invitation spreadsheet.

  • Thank you ladies!!!  I think I'm going to look into the invisible ink thing!

They have a lot of them on eBay.  I think I paid $2 for the one I got.
