Destination Wedding & Hair/Makeup Help?

We decided on a destination wedding and everything has been going fine until I thought about my hair and makeup.  I probably won't be able to travel to my destination for a "trial run" with hair and makeup ahead of time.  What have other brides done in this situation?

    I'm going to have the same problem. I'm going to do hair and makeup trials here and take a lot of good pictures. I'm doing research in my destination area to find the best salons. My FI and I are going to arrive at our destination several days before the wedding so I will go to a salon a few days before the wedding with all the pictures for another trial there - to make sure that they can recreate what I have already decided I want. 

    Or...I'm hoping that my best friend will bring his cosmetologist cousin as his plus one. :)
