RSVP number of guests

I have sent an RSVP online to a friend's wedding, and his wedding website (not TK) let me enter how many guests were attending.  Why do TK wedding website RSVP pages not have that option?  It sure would make my planning a hell of a lot easier.  All of our invitations were sent out electronically, and before someone tells me "that is not a good idea", my fiance and I travel CONSTANTLY for work so electronic invitations are the ONLY option for us.  I have already sent an email to TK customer service feedback and have heard nothing yet, hence I am posting on this board.

    What happen if you only invite a husband and wife and they RSVP with 10 people?

    1)  Why would anyone do that, unless they had 8 kids who I most likely would have already invited?

    2)  Most of our guests our older members of our family where there is only the couple.  I simply need theknot.com to add that text box on the RSVP page or else I may just have to create another wedding page through the site my friend used.

    People do some crazy things when it comes to weddings. They think it's a family reunion and bring their 2nd cousin or their neighbor. Or grand kids.

    LingerLonger- This will be my second marriage.  I used theknot website for my first wedding many years ago.  It  was my fault for assuming they had updated their RSVP options to keep up with the competition over the years.  I'll give customer service a try before spending a whole lot of time creating another website.
