First RSVP's with no Invites

So Friday night I'm checking my email and there is one from TK telling me that someone has posted in the guest book and RSVP'd.  I quickly run to our website and sure enough!!!  One of FI's cousins has RSVP'd for her, hubby and their son!!!  I haven't even mailed the invitations out yet!! LOL!!!

I really got butterflies!!!!  Makes this whole thing more real and exciting!!!  I can't wait to get the invitations out, guess I'm doing this sooner rather than later now, and see who else is going to share this wonderful day!!!

Re: First RSVP's with no Invites

  • I know the feeling, I was in Florida a few weeks ago and I knew I was going to see one of my uncles while I was there.  I decided to hand him his invite since he never received our STD and I never got it back.  I didn't want to risk him not getting it so I handed it to him.  Well I got his RSVP back last week and I was so excited!  It really makes me want to send out the rest and I think I am this week once I get more postage.  It is really becoming real!!!

  • I'll admit it's a bit odd that they already rsvp'ed without actually getting the invite yet, but it is very exciting that they are coming and you are receiving rsvps!

It's been fun to watch this board over the past few months cause we go through the checklist together - now it's invite time! (and dress fittings time!)

  • @SewInLove ~ We sent out the STD cards so people know about the website but some of the information, like the hotel, wasn't on there as of yet.  I had to wait for them to create a special login for our guests.

FI's family has been very anxious about all the details of the wedding.  For the last few weeks FIL's have been getting bombarded with questions about the hotel, attire, etc.  I'm guessing that they finally started telling people to go to the website.  Since there is a RSVP section I think she just decided to do that while she was there.  She also signed the guestbook.

It is fun to see us all about the same place on things!!!  I need to get back to my "To Do" list as I took the weekend off to spend it with one of my BM.

  • I just got a "not coming" on my website, though my invites are still sitting on the table waiting to go.  Bummer; they're definitely ppl I was hoping would come.
  • @FLDiver I'm sorry!!!  I have my heart set on a few people coming and I'm not sure if they will.
