30 x 60 tent... i really need help!

I'm doing a 30 x 60 tent for my ceremony and reception. We're going to do the white icicle lights and the paper lanterns (different sizes) does anyone know how many strands of lights i should get and how many paper lanterns? just an estimate if anyone else is doing around the same thing? I don't know how to guess...

  • If the tent is 30 x 60 that is a total of 180 feet around the tent.  So it depends on how long the strands of lights are and how many lanterns you plan on using.  Light strands are usually 6-8 feet long but you probably want them to scallop.

You also might want to check with who you are getting the tent from they may have lights for the tent.

  • This is something I'd ask your tent rental person. I am sure that they a) know the proper amount of lighting because they get asked this all the time, and b) probably rent lighting as well.  It might be cheaper to rent strands of regular twinkly lights than it would be to buy them..,..especially if you use the same company. Should save on delivery fees.
