Ariana's Grand In Woodbrige = Bad Experience

DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE!!!  VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF.
We booked this venue FOR OUR WEDDING under the impression that the staff was concerned about what WE wanted for the most important day of our life.
The establishment looked great i loved the courtyard in the back & i could see myself getting married there, the staff said all the right things when we went to tour the venue, the owner Frank told us we would have as much time as we need throughout the day to have our vendors set up, everything sounded great. HOWEVER AFTER we signed the contract and paid the deposit they did not show any concern with our wedding.  I called several times & sent various emails with questions and Gina never responded to my emails and after many attempts i finally spoke with Marie who when i asked a question regarding my wedding, she suddenly informed me that we would only have 2 hours of set up time before our wedding reception because apparently May is communion season!! How ridiculous that a communion is more important than a wedding!!!! And they would limit the set up time for a wedding because they feel they will be extremely busy with people booking communions, none of which was ever mention prior to us signing the contract.  They also initially told us that we would have the the establishment for only our guests, once that contract was signed everything changed.  Ariana's Grand is a poor establishment, unprofessional and do not care about their clients as long as they get their money.  I would NEVER recommend this venue to anyone.  Please find a venue that puts the bride & groom first as this is only the most important day of your life.

  • Sorry but I think you are over reacting a bit.  You just signed up today to make a complaint post?  This type of thing is not allowed.

  • We looked at many halls for our all in one place wedding. Two hours set up before the service starts is totally normal. Every place can do more than one event a day. Every customer and every person is just as important to a business so yes a communion is as important as a wedding.

This statement makes you sound like a bridezilla.  News flash: Other events can happen the same day as yours.  If you want the venue to yourself for the entire day, you should've booked the afternoon too!  Two hours is plenty of time.  Our venue allows one hour between the afternoon and evening events.

Honestly I also think you're overreacting. This is a business first and foremost to them, you can't expect them to turn away all other customers just because its your wedding. They do value YOU as their customer, but you're not their first bride and you won't be their last. They have to make a living too! And two hours is PLENTY of time to set up for your wedding, I think that's what most people get! And one more thing, what makes you think communions are unimportant...? What if that was your daughter?

  • My cousin had her reception at Ariana's and it was wonderful. The room was beautiful, food delicious and staff was courteous. You are probably just feeling a little stressed right now but everything will work out and your wedding will be amazing!
