Does the song have to be different for bridesmaids vs bride? Or can the same song play for both entrances?

    Certainly it can be the same song. If you are having it played live, you can ask the musician or musicians to change it up a bit for your entrance, such as swelling the music or slowing the tempo, etc. But it's not necessary.

    I do Pachelbel's Canon a lot for both processionals.  The second half of the song is much bigger and faster and works well for the bride's entrance.

    It's fine. We each only had one attendant, and it would've been silly to use two songs. We used an acoustic guitar version of "Canon in D".

    I'm so happy somoene asked this even though i'm a year late to the party...I love Pachelbal's Canon in D and I think using it just for the bp ends up cutting it off at the best part!
