Lunch spot where I can bring in my own food/drinks!

Does anyone know where I could host a lunch for 90 people where I can bring in our own food/drink (aka pick our own caterer to bring in food)?  I am getting married at the Flamingo so would be great if it was close to there.  Any ideas??

I'd be very surprised if you find something that would allow you to do that, especially in Vegas.  Where I live, venues require a very specific type of zoning and liquor license to allow someone to bring in their own liquor, and other than a random bottle club or two on the outskirts of the city, no one has that setup; I'm going to guess Vegas is likely the same since there's a lot of money to be made on booze.  There's also the matter of insurance; most venue owners are not going to have insurance to cover an event where their own bartenders were not serving the drinks.

What time of the year are we talking?  Perhaps you could do something outdoors?  Then you'd just need to rent chairs/tables/tents/etc. which someone like RSVP (http://www.vegasgroom.com/RSVP-Rentals-(Linens-Glassware-Furniture-Tents)_78.html) can come and set up for you.  Since you're not using anyone's space, you can probably pull it off but might need a permit if on public land.  Hell, you could set up an outdoor party in the 'hangover' lot overlooking the strip lol.

Edit: that's private property though so probably not the greatest idea in hindsight.

  • @vegasgroom - We are getting married in March.  What is the 'hangover' lot?

Hmm yeah still a little cold in March for an outside party; average high is only 70.

The hangover lot is the large empty property to the west of Mandalay Bay on the other side of the interstate from the movie The Hangover where they let the guy out of the trunk lol.

  • I spent some time looking into this to see if I could save on my reception. The only thing I found was reserving a local park. Here's the list of reservable ones, note at the bottom it states you need a permit for alcohol and I don't know what hoops those require since we decided to go another direction. http://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/Find/21058.htm
  • @annathy03 - What did you end up doing?
  • @Sarjhawk - You have a PM, and I'm happy to give you contact info for anywhere I've toured if you're interested.
