bridesmaids shoes......

Would you choose the shoes for your bridesmaids or do you letting them choose whatever shoes they vwant? i'm thinking about letting them choose but they want me to choose for them. i ahve searched a lot and it is really hard to find the perfect one.i hope you can give me some ideas.

       there are the shoes i pick up from the websites. we've finally narrowed it down to 2. which one do you think would go best with this dress.

    I let my girls pick their own dresses and shoes! They are the ones who have to be comfortable and wear them all evening so I let me decide. When it came to the dresses, they all have the same exact color and designer just different styles and when it comes to the shoes they could get any designer/style as long as it was in the ivory/nude shade.

    My girls are wearing navy dresses.  Long, same material, but they got to pick the cut of the top.  I told them just to pick nude/champagne shoes. But then I told them I don't actually care much. I have a bridesmaid who would much prefer flats.  Fine with me! No one is going to pay much attention to their feet.

    I let my girls decide what they wanted to do in regards to shoes. I told them if possible I would like them all in black or silver shoes. They all ended up picking the same silver slingback sparkle shoes.

    I'd give them a color (something common like silver, nude, black) and let them pick what they'd like or already own. Ditto Stage that if you're choosing a particular style you need to be the one paying for it. Agreeing to be a BM means agreeing to buy a dress within your price range, not an entire ensemble.

    I told my MOH and BM to wear something in a neutral colour. Black, brown, beige, silver, etc. Also to pick something they liked and could stand in for the length of the ceremony + pictures. My BM was horrified, and thinks they should be wearing at least the same colour. I couldn't care less. If they want to coordinate then I'm not going to stop them.

    maybe i would choose 2# to go with the dress. the dress is really amazing

    Let them pick.

    When I was my sister's maid of honor, she picked out the shoes for all of us.  I think they were 2-3 inch heels, and I do NOT wear heels.  I was miserable, and had blisters on areas of my feet that I never had blisters before. 

    Unfortunately, the other bridesmaids didn't make a fuss like I did, even though only one of them regularly wore heels.  They were trying to just be nice, so I was alone on this one.

    Fortunately, we talked her into getting the matching flip-flops from David's Bridal, and wore those during the reception.

    Now that it's my turn to be the bride, and she is the Matron of Honor, I really want to "return the favor" and have her wear uncomfortable shoes (because she doesn't wear heels either), but I'm letting her pick.

    I definitely plan to let my BM pick their own shoes, I'll give them the color, probably something easy to find like gold or silver, or neutral.  I want them to be comfortable and happy. Life is too short to be concerned what kind of shoes your BM will wear.
