Plus 1

I'm entering my guest list onto the website and I see I can add a spouse/guest. What do I do if it's just a Plus 1? Do I write Plus 1 as the (spouse/guest) name? If I leave it blank then the number of guests doesn't register than that guest is bringing a guest.  
I understand once I get closer the Plus 1 will have a name and I'll enter that in there. I'd like to know what to do NOW to fix the issue.
Thoughts?

    I would just put in "guest" or "plus 1." You can edit it later.

    Also, make sure you have some kind of backup. The Knot is known for its technical glitches and some brides have lost their entire guest lists.
