Honeymoon advice?

my fi has family in our honeymoon location. They've opened up their apartment to us during our honeymoon since they were leaving out of town. I feel awkward staying there, but my fi is really insisting we stay there to save some cash. I've told him that was nice of them to be so hospitable, but I think i'd be much more comfortable in a hotel! maybe i'm being picky but I don't know what to say

    I feel weird staying in anyone'e home, let alone staying in someone's home without them being there.

    Also, when I go on vacation I don't want to deal with every day cleaning (well except for picking up after myself but that is just a given no matter where I go) and staying at someone's home would make me feel like I would have to clean and vacuum often because I wouldn't want them to come home to a dirty house.

    I think what they are offering is very nice of them but I would explain your concerns to your FI and really let it be known that you would not be comfortable staying in this persons home.

    Yeah, as long as it is in the budget, I'd just stay at a hotel. Then I can get room service and someone can make up the room and I don't have to vacuum! Thank them for the offer, but let them know you have other plans.
