Mornin', everybody! I was wondering if you could give me a few ideas for a group gift for my clinical instructor. She has been so supportive and patient throughout the semester, and my clinical group and I just love her! So we wanted to get her a gift of some sort to say thank you.
Obviously there will be a card of some sort, but we're having trouble of thinking of the main gift. We don't know a whole lot about her, other than that she is a serious Steelers fan, she loves calla lilies, and her favorite colors are of the orange/peach/coral variety.
We thought about getting her a flower for each of us in a pretty vase along with the card, but the logistics of that would be difficult on the last day of clinical, as we would have to leave them in someone's car and they would probably wilt from how hot it has been. If we can't come up with any other ideas, we're thinking that we will do this but leave them for her in the office at school at the beginning of next semester, but we don't want it to feel like an afterthought.
We are trying to stay away from stuff like a spa or restaurant gift card because attaching a direct monetary value to the gift seems kind of weird. She is not likely to ever be our clinical instructor again or be in any position to grade us on anything, but just in case we don't want to go there. She also doesn't seem like the kind of person who would enjoy getting a mani/pedi or generally having people touch her, if that makes sense, so that's why the spa stuff is out.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you have!
ETA: Whoa, this got lengthy, so double thanks for reading all the details up there!
Re: Gift advice, please?
I might go with the Steelers type idea. Heartfelt cards are awesome too
