Looking For a Sparkly Belt. Why is it so hard to find?

I am looking for a blingy belt (the more bling the better) to be sewn onto my wedding gown. I tried one on with the dress but they wanted $400 for it and I THOUGHT I'd be able to find one elsewhere for less.

Apparently not. So far everything I am seeing online is more of a sash so the ribbon is visible AND it doesn't continue all around the waist to the back.

Does anyone know where I should/could look for something along these lines?

I'm in Toronto, Canada so it would have to be local or online and I'm also looking for something on the thicker/wider side (2-3 inches)

I appreciate any help in advance!!!!

Have you tried Etsy or even Ebay? Try googling sash instead of belt too when you're hunting.

ETA: You could also ask your seamstress about custom making one for you.

I have browsed etsy. Unfortunately most of what is on there is a sash which is not what I am looking for. I don't want any visible ribbon and I also don't want just a jewelled embellishment on the front middle of the dress.

The dress is being altered at the bridal store so they would likely just charge the same for purchase of the original belt.

I'm trying to find the same thing! I don't want it sewn to my dress, but I don't want a sash with a bow in the back. Can't believe it's this hard since so many pictures of dresses seem to have them. Good luck, let me know if you find anything!

Check out anthropologie! I was surprised but they actually have blingy belts there.. some of them are blingy but the material is more casual. But I actually got a beaded elastic belt (entire belt has tiny glass beads are are connected with transparent elastic thread) from them for $38 only! I think it was the last one though.. I actually just got it last weekend at yorkdale.

Alfred Angelo bridal allows you to purchase belts and all sorts of things from their wedding gowns check out the dresses online if you see anything you like call or email a store someone should be able to give you prices

Hey Veesmart, I love sparkly belt as well. My wedding dress is with sparkly belt.

Here is a closeup of belt:

My dress together with belt is only $429.
It won't justify to buy an extra belt at $400. I can buy a wedding dress with a beautiful belt $400!

My belt has a lot of white pearls. If you want sparkly, you will need silver beads and crystals. Good luck!
