2nd Wedding Invitation Etiquette?

How do I put my name on the invitation?  My legal last name?  Which is my ex's last name?  I never changed it to keep the same as the kids.  But now that I'm remarrying, I don't really want the "old" last name on my invitation.  Can I put my maiden name?  Any suggestions?  Or cute ways to put this on an invitation?

    Your legal last name, even if it is your ex's last name, should go on the invitation. If you use this name in your daily life, it shouldn't be a big deal to use it on the invitation.

    If you're known as Mary Smith, people would probably be very confused to get an invitation to the wedding of Mary Thompson.

    The name doesn't belong to your ex. So don't worry about it.

    If the name you use legally is your ex's last name, then yes, you put that on the invitation. It's silly to be hung up on not wanting your ex's last name on your wedding invitation when it's currently your name, too. 


    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    Use your legal last name.  Your guests may find it confusing if you don't.

    After the wedding, you can change it to whatever name you are going to use.

    I am "revised bride"...and while we are only having a cocktail party to celebrate our wedding the week before...I am not using my old name.  Like callieotto, I am only using my first and middle name on the party invitations.
